+256 775259917 The test kit is designed to detect the presence of aflatoxin in a sample by allowing free aflatoxin in the samples and controls to compete with enzyme-labeled aflatoxin (conjugate) for the antibody binding sites. The kit is intended for the quantitative analysis of aflatoxin in corn and corn gluten meal.
Aflatoxin is a type of mycotoxin produced by certain species of fungi, notably Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. These toxins can contaminate many agricultural goods, especially cereals, nuts (such as peanuts and almonds), and spices. Aflatoxins are well-known for their strong carcinogenic effects, particularly concerning liver cancer. INTENDED USE
The Total Aflatoxin Rapid Test is used to qualitative (or quantitative) detect total Aflatoxin in feed and grain. The total assay time takes approx. 15 min.
Test procedure of Aflatoxin rapid test
1. Remove Aflatoxin Rapid Test from sealed pouch.
2. Suck at least 3 drops of prepared sample, hold the dropper vertically and transfer 3 full drops (around 100μL) of solution to the specimen well (S) of the test device (See the illustration below), and then start the timer.
3. Wait for red bands to appear. The result should be read in approximately 3-5 minutes. Do not interpret results after 5 minutes.
