Alice Provensen, who was born on August 14th, 1917, was for many years one-half of a picture-book team. Side by side with her husband, Martin Provensen, they created memorable, award-winning picture books for forty-three years, books in which their individual contributions were never evident, only their teamwork. As they worked on so many European stories and histories I have included them here.

Following Alice in Chains’ extensive 1993 world tour, Staley said the band "just wanted to go into the studio for a few days with our acoustic guitars and see what happened". "We never really planned on the music we made at that time to be released. But the record label heard it and they really liked it. This "bio" is 20+yrs old,but is great and gives you a very good inside look and timeline of Alice's early days,beginning, during that period, struggles he faced (alcoholism;now sober 35+yrs), hitting it finally with his 3rd album, "Love it to Death",1971, a personal fave of mine,ft"I'm 18". And what's this, "Alice was every parent's nightmare"? Idk know why. Well, I guess the media had bad things to say bc my parents hated that I loved him and attended his concerts beginning pre-teen.
